Whisky-Pear and Blue Cheese Wraps

Soft tortilla wraps filled with sweet whisky-drizzled pear, peppery rocket, and bold crumbles of blue cheese for a flavour-packed bite that’s sweet, savoury, and satisfyingly creamy. A touch of honey brings everything together, making each mouthful perfectly balanced.

Ideal as a light snack, party platter addition, or elegant canapé, these wraps are quick to make and easy to customise. Not a fan of blue cheese? Swap in goat cheese or cream cheese, or go low-carb with crisp lettuce leaves in place of the tortilla. Fresh, punchy, and effortlessly stylish.

 Ingredients:

  • 1 large tortilla wrap

  • 1 ripe pear, thinly sliced

  • 50g blue cheese, crumbled

  • 1 tbsp whisky

  • A handful of rocket leaves

  • 1 tsp honey

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, mix whisky and honey. Drizzle over the pear slices.

  2. Lay the tortilla flat and layer with rocket, pears, and blue cheese.

  3. Roll the tortilla tightly and slice into bite-sized rounds.

Tips & Variations:

  • Use goat cheese or cream cheese if blue cheese isn’t preferred.

  • Swap the wrap with a large lettuce leaf for a low-carb alternative.

In these recipes we haven’t specified the whisky to use, as you know what you like best, and it also allows you to experiment.

However, if you want a start, a good light, vanilla forward single malt to use would be The Glasgow Distillery’s Original. If you are looking to add some smokey depth, try The English Smokey, or if you want something fruity, try Arran Sherry Cask ‘The Bodega’.
