Whisky Honey Glazed Sausages

Juicy cocktail sausages coated in a sticky glaze of whisky, honey, Dijon mustard, and soy sauce—sweet, savoury, and just the right amount of boozy. As the glaze caramelises in the pan, it clings to the sausages, creating an irresistible shine and bold, punchy flavour.

Perfect for party platters, game day snacks, or festive gatherings, these glazed bites are quick to whip up and always a crowd-pleaser. Serve hot with cocktail sticks or pile them into a warm bread roll. For a twist, use veggie sausages or swap in tamari for a gluten-free version.

 Ingredients:

  • 200g cocktail sausages

  • 1 tbsp whisky

  • 1 tbsp honey

  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard

  • 1 tsp soy sauce

Instructions:

  1. Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Add the sausages and cook until browned.

  2. In a small bowl, whisk together whisky, honey, mustard, and soy sauce.

  3. Pour the glaze over the sausages and cook for 2–3 minutes, stirring to coat evenly.

  4. Serve hot as a finger food or snack.

Tips & Variations:

  • Use vegetarian sausages for a plant-based option.

  • Replace soy sauce with tamari for a gluten-free version.

In these recipes we haven’t specified the whisky to use, as you know what you like best, and it also allows you to experiment.

However, if you want a start, a good light, vanilla forward single malt to use would be The Glasgow Distillery’s Original. If you are looking to add some smokey depth, try The English Smokey, or if you want something fruity, try Arran Sherry Cask ‘The Bodega’.
